Travelling to and around Switzerland

There are many ways to travel to our matches at the tournament this summer. Zurich Airport (ZRH) will be the most convenient option for supporters flying into Switzerland, however there are other options available with connecting rail services to the host cities.

For supporters arriving into Zurich, rail services direct to St. Gallen and Lucerne are frequent, with picturesque views along each line as you arrive into each city. To book tickets download the SBB train app – here you can plan journeys and purchase tickets. Alternatively, there are ticket machines at train stations that provide several language options including English.

Rail services are also available to and from Constance (Konstanz) via the SBB app.

Once you arrive in the host cities, there are lots of different things to do, below you will find some useful information on activities within Lucerne and St. Gallen.

Travelling by rail is recommended by UEFA for this tournament, and rail travel is FREE on matchday with a matchticket.

Lucerne

Lucerne is a scenic city on the banks on Lake Lucerne. It is an ideal location to spend time in the city or in nature with a great variety of things to do around the area. These activities include boat trips on the lake, cable car rides, mountain walks, guided city tours and museums.

Many of these activities will be discounted with a WEUROS match ticket – for a full and detailed list of things to do whilst you are in Lucerne visit their official WEURO page here: UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 | European Football Championships | luzern.com

St. Gallen

St. Gallen is a city in the northwest of Switzerland – it is famous for its libraries, cathedral, linen and sausages. The centre of the city is very compact, mostly pedestrianized and has many open spaces for fans to meet up in.

Supporters can visit the city’s 3 ponds (Drei Wieren) and swim in the open water, the cathedral built in 1772 and its library which is a UNESCO world heritage site.
